#ReadingCram Challenge: Seasonal Recommendations

Reading challenge hosted by Jenny @ Juliababyjen’s Reading Room and Dana @ Danasquare from December 9th-22nd.

Challenge: Recommend books read in 2013 according to the season.

Good Book for a Snowy Day:

Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin

You either need to be completely snowbound or insane to start reading this series. I am the latter.

Good Book for a Rainy Day:

Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson

This is a great pick-me-up book for those rainy days that make you feel blue.

Good Book for a Beach Day:

Fruits Basket manga series by Natsuki Takaya

Manga volumes are very short so it doesn’t keep you from frolicking in the ocean for too long. Unless you don’t like the ocean…in that case there are 23 volumes in total so just plan on reading all of them!

Good Book for a Spooky Night:

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest (Millennium #3) by Stieg Larsson

Okay, not only is it scary that anyone could end up in Lisbeth’s situation but the character herself commits some certifiably insane things to get back at her abusers. Definitely NOT for the faint of heart.
